I'm going away to school in the fall and so is my boyfriend. We've been together for a year and a half and i think we will be able to last. I just wanted to hear other people's stories and what happened with them.

My bf & I go to different schools we just finished sophomore year. Freshmen year was definitely rough. We broke up for 2 weeks & fought a lot but ultimately we worked things out. It was especially hard because I went to an all girls school and he went to an all boys school for high school so there was a lot of jealousy we never had to deal with before. I'm such a baby tho bc we're only 20 minutes away and Ik some people have it so much worse. We are also both D1 athletes which makes things a lot harder bc we're always so busy. But you can definitely make it work if you really love each other and want to be together. I'm a big believer in fate so whatever is meant to be will be. So just take it one step at a time and be understanding of each other 😊

A lot of my friends broke up with SOs freshman year. That said, I have another friend who stayed with his gf all four years across the country and now they're living together ! It may not be common and it really depends on the people/circumstances but if you could end up with the odds in your favor, why not take the risk? Go for it!

Hubby and I started dating in high school, went to different colleges and never broke up once. We have been together 11 years, married for 4. It can be done but it's tough. It takes a lot of trust and op n communication.
