Have any of you ever had a male youre really close to be raped/molested?

My boyfriend was molested by a classmate a year ago and I was wondering if any if you ladies have ever had any similar situation? It could be a boyfriend, husband, brother, male cousin, or even really good male friend.

A guy I know, *straight*, was raped at the age of 12 and had only told us when he was 21. It was very emotional and I wish we had taken better advantage of the moment because I feel like we (my husband and I) weren't able to express how much sympathy and support we felt for him because it obviously still distressed him.

I feel like there is never support for males who are victims of things like this... it only makes me feel worse when we see these glorified hostels for women but if a man is being bashed and raped by a wife or something, he will have nowhere to go 😓 I would take any hits or aggression if it meant my brothers and mates wouldn't suffer at the hands of someone else. It's disgusting that we do nothing to help, day in day out, whendomestic abuse rates are reaching half and half in my country! I vow to help any of my men if they need me. Even if I have to put food on the table and help them out, so be it. No one else will help, otherwise. They would most likely die from her hands.

One of my male friends (who is gay I might add) went to a gay bar for the first time around a week after he turned 18 and was told by an older guy that he needed to tell him something. He accepted because he is a very kind person so they went out back and the older man said something along the lines of "I need to see your penis or I will hurt you". So he did it and then the man started touching him, my friend having a very slim figure but being 6'2 was able to push the guy away and he ran back inside. He was traumatised and didn't speak to me for a good 4 days until he explained what happened.
