Chicco key fit 30 or graco snugride 35?

Question

We are currently registered for the Chicco Travel System at babies r us.

But just out of curiousity what do you moms recommend? Chicco key fit or graco click connect snug ride? What did you use?

I prefer Graco because it's lighter.. they have had recalls but are great at getting you the new parts, I had the buckle replaced on two of my Graco seats with no issues.  I just had to buy a new one and as I was looking, some of the Graco's have a back adjust harness instead of the strap in between the legs. Make sure you can adjust it from the front as it is a million times easier than trying to adjust from the back once the baby is in the seat.

I actually wouldn't recommend a travel system. They typically use an infant car seat for 6 months to a year.. you use the stroller from around birth till sometimes age 3 or 4. 
There are plenty of higher end strollers you can get that have adapters for different brand car seats. 
I have the City Select with adaptors for my Graco ClickConnect. I'm using it as a single until #3 arrives next month and then will use it as a double. You can find good deals on them used but if it's brand new you have a lifetime warranty on the frame. 
I would recommend going to Buy Buy Baby or Babies R Us and testing out different strollers, especially to see what fits in your trunk. My City Select Double actually fits in the trunk of my Camry better then my single Graco ClickConnect Fast Action Fold Jogger.

I used the Chicco keyfit 30 and my SIL used the graco snugride at the same time. The graco seemed cheaper to me and the seat would get stuck to the base sometimes. I loved the chicco. It was functional yet stylish and seemed very safe.

The Chicco keyfit is rated highest for safety by consumer reports, and we absolutely love ours. We've used a soft structured carrier (lillebaby) for the first 6 months and after that point any stroller will work

If I had to do it all again I would not get a travel system, but I would still get the keyfit30. Get a better stroller, in the long run you need it for 3-4 years and the ones with the travel systems are "ok" but I would do with a baby jogger stroller like the city mini gt or the city select if you plan on having a second baby.

I have the chicco bravo stroller and needed up getting others as well.

I had the same question so I looked up recalls for both brands. I found that many of Graco strollers malfunctioned slicing baby's fingers. I also found that many Graco car seats were recalled because they were hard to release the baby from the seat, especially if food or drink spilled on the clicking mechanism over time. A good friend of mine has a Graco car seat though and says she loves it (even with the slight difficulty of unclasping it). I couldn't find any recalls for Chicco car seats or strollers though. We ended adding the Chicco keyfit 30 car seat and Chicco Bravo LE stroller to our registry.

Chicco is definitely not a light car seat. You can actually look up how much each infant car seat weighs, and Graco is the lightest. I have the Graco fast action fold travel system and I love it! I tried out the chicco travels systems and was not a fan

I have the chicco keyfit 30 and the chicco bravo stroller.  I love it.  The seat and stroller are very light.  I was able to get them both out of my car at just three days PP without any help.  I highly recommend the chicco and if you are looking for travel systems, the bravo trio.

I haven't gotten any use out of mine but we got the Graco click connect travel system. My sister used one and she absolutely loved it which is why I registered for one. It was easy to put together, seems comfy for baby, the stroller is easy to manage and fold and since I'm so short it's a plus that I don't feel like a kid standing behind it trying to push it lol the basket underneath also seems to have plenty of space
