First month using opks. I have ovulated cd 16 every month according to bbt, so it's a few days early, can I get high fertility for a few days before my peak?

You should!! The LH surge that a positive OPK identifies should be the trigger for ovulation (its the green light). Your first positive should be 12-48 hours before ovulation. L

This is why people do OPKs, so you can know ahead of time when to BD.

Yes! I've been tracking ovulation for 8 years. I ovulate between CD 12 and 16 normally, but I've had cycles where I've ovulated on CD 7 and a few where I o'd CD 20 something.

Once or twice a year my body likes to change things up, especially when the season change.
