Is one month old to early to sleep train?

My one month old loooooves sleeping on me. If I let him he'll nearly sleep through the night. But I obviously need to break this habit. Is it too early to expect anything? He'll only sleep in his bassinet for like 30 minutes or less. Tips, tricks, advice!?

Yes it's too early. You won't sleep train for many months. Your baby is going to dictate the schedule for the next couple of months but you can take steps to encourage your little one to go to sleep in the evening by turning down the lights and sound. Swaddle them so that they're ready for bed.

You shouldn't really sleep train this early but don't give up on the bassinet. Keep trying and who knows maybe that 30 minutes will stretch into a long nap or all night. My baby wasn't a fan of his bassinet at the beginning but I put him in there every night and eventually he started staying asleep until his next feed. I got him, held him, loved him back to sleep and usually kept him with me every time he cried but I always started with trying his bed.

Swaddle tight, white noise or fan, pitch black room, and when your LO gets sleepy put in bassinet and put your hands on em to comfort them. My LO slept on me for a month straight, finally I bought a co sleeper and swaddled him and put him in that. He is 4 months and just now beginning to fall asleep in his crib, I always rocked him to sleep and then placed him in his crib.

It's temporary. My dh and I slept in shifts so one of us could be up holding the baby. 
You can try swaddling and warming the basinette before placing baby in it.and this is when a lot of mom's choose to bedshare since baby will usually settle for being next to you on the bed.
