sex, protection, condoms

Hullo! I have a question for you ladies and/or other humans with ovaries:
I am in a long term, monogamous relationship. We aren't married, but we do live together and have been exclusive for four years. We used to be very careful, sexually - using at least two methods of contraception at all times - but in the last year or so, we have been slacking. We now only use condoms, and even barely so - we usually start sex bareback, and put a condom on before the finale, although sometimes we only use the withdrawal method. I make sure we are more careful during the time of the month I know I'm likely fertile, but I know none of that is the safest birth control method. I really like the freedom of not always needing a condom, I like the feeling of having sex without one, and it's sort of a turn on for both of us. I don't want to stop having sex this way, but i have had problems with hormonal birth control in the past, and IUD's sort of freak me out. My question to you is -
What are your opinions on the withdrawal method for monogamous relationships? How many of you have gotten pregnant accidentally by this method, and how many of you use this method successfully?
