My water broke around 1 am, we came up to the hospital about 30 minutes after it happened. I wasn't contracting like I should have on my own, so they started me on pitocin! 

I got checked when we got there and then checked again around 6:30 am, both time I was almost a 3 and 85-90%. 

Around 8 am, my OB came in and checked me. Talking to us, saying "you know, typically 1 cm every hour is about average. So you'll maybe have him around 2 or so" *then checks me and makes a 😱 face* "uh well, you're complete!!" My first words were "holy shit" LOL 

My grandma wasn't there at the time because we thought she had a little more time, she ended up getting there in 10 minutes and when she did, I started pushing! I pushed for 30 minutes and then he was out.. but when he decided to enter this world, my water also decided to COVER the nurse!! She nicknamed our son "Shamu" because of his enterance haha! I felt so bad, but knew there was nothing I could have done. She said it's obviously something that's happened, but never that bad in her experience! 

He was born ON his due date (June 26, 2017) at 10:32 AM, weighing 7 pounds and 1.6 ounces, measuring 19 1/4 inches!
