Do I still follow the 3 day wait rule for peanut butter?

Because I feel like if he's allergic, it would be sudden and not like 2 days later... I wanted to introduce a new fruit the same day, but should I wait until the day after introducing peanut butter or...?

YES follow the rule. My son had peanut butter and there was no reaction. Two days later he had it again and went into anaphylactic shock. If we had tried something new at the same time as the second peanut butter try, we might not have known it was the peanut butter.

Better safe than sorry. Driving your baby to the hospital while you can hear him struggling to breathe isn't something I'd wish on my worst enemy.

Reactions don't always show up right away in infants. High allergy foods should always have that wait time. It's not like strawberry or sweet potatoes. Things like peanut butter, eggs, honey etc always wait that few days

Yes always follow the 3 day. Sometimes the amount of histamine is not high enough to cause a reaction yet after just one feeding of it, which is why they say 3-5 days to confirm that they are not allergic.

I think the reason you do the 3-4 times is because some don't have a reaction until they've had it a few times but I haven't been doing it for most foods so I have no idea :)
