Any other women with HSV?

A super sensitive topic that doesn't get discussed.. but I want to know how common it is, and if you're open about it. Maybe you can talk about how you coped?

I get them usually once a year.  The older I get the less they seem to show up but I've learned what it feels like before an outbreak and will slather the spot with cream the second it starts to itch.  Luckily I don't work in a job that requires me to look pretty so I just apply throughout the day and use less cream so there's not a giant white blob on my face.

are we talking about the type you're born with? cause i was cursed with it at birth. and coping? jeeze. now that i'm a stay at home mommy i don't have to leave the house if i ever get an outbreak, but when i used to go to school and work with outbreaks, holy fuck i felt so nasty and just would cake my lips with lipstick and try to avoid any social interaction at all. it's the worst.
