June baby birth story

Sabrina
Sorry to taken me so long to write. It is a long story. But here goes : I was due June 10. On may 30th at 10 pm  I woke to a strongman contraction. I was able to go back to bed but woke up consistently every hour. My alarm went off at 4 am on the 31st and I helped my husband get ready for work. Contractions now every 20-25 mins apart  and lasting 30 seconds to 45 seconds. He tells me to call off work. My contractions are not extremely painful at this point. He goes to work and I text my mom. She tells me that she's gonna take me to the hospital just to be sure and safe. We go about 6 am. Contractions about 15 mins apart and starting to get very painful. It's all in my back. Get checked out. Not dilated. And contractions not close enough. Get sent home around 10 am. Go home. Contractions get to 6-10 mins apart a couple hours later. Back pain becoming unbearable.   Go back to hospital again around 3 in the afternoon. Only dilated to one still. They send me home again around 6 pm. Get home contractions are anywhere from 2-8 mins apart. Back pain is through the roof. My husband and my parents have been pushing against the small of my back with all their strength because that pressure is the only thing that helps me feel slightly better. At nine I get up to go to the bathroom and take another hot shower. Probably my 12th hot shower that day. My water breaks. I still get into shower. I get out get dressed and wait until 11 to go back to hospital. Hospital tells me I'm still not dilated enough. I am now dilated to two. They also check for my water by sticking some machine thing up there. It came back positive for water. So they won't admit me. They did give me some pain meds through an IV so I got a couple hours of sleep. They discharge me at 6 am on June. 1st. I already had a prenatal visit scheduled that day at 11. I go in at that time. I had to be wheelchaired in. I work at the hospital so it was very embarrassing especially because all I'm doing is crying and hunched over in pain. As soon as office sees me they send me in right away. Doctor immediately comes to check me out. Does an examination and says I'm dilated to two and he can't feel my water sac. I told him it  ruptured the previous night. He got angry at hospital staff and sent me to L&D and told me that we are gonna have a baby. I get there and they hook me up to pictocin and ask if I want an epidural. Originally I wanted all natural birth. I opted for epidural. It only ever took the edge off. I could still feel my legs. And still felt the back labor. It was just manageable now. It took many many hours to fully dilate. By the time I gave birth I was at the point where I was begging the doctor to cut me open and take it out (we didn't know the gender of the baby). When the doctor told me that I was close and to just keep pushing I just asked him to kill me to make it stop. My husband is rubbing my leg. My sister is fanning me. My mom is holding my head, giving me ice chips, and giving me support to push. My grandmother and Dad are sitting in chairs just watching and wincing. Doctor had to do an episiotomy. He then had to vacuum the baby out. At 12:26 am on June 2nd my husband and I welcomed a beautiful baby girl named Amaranth Michaela Basham into the world. She weighed 6 pounds 8 ounces and was 18 1/2 inches long.
