Lighter periods after D&C

I've had 2 D&Cs in under a year. After the first D&C (August 2016) my periods never went back to a normal pattern but was normal length bleeding wise. Had second D&C end of April this year and period came back exactly 4 weeks after but period was lighter and didn't last as long. Anyone else had more than one D&C and noticed lighter and shorter periods. Also I'm back at seeing Recurrent Miscarriage Consultant beginning of August and if I get the go ahead I would like to try again but worried whether if light periods means my uterine lining is not thick enough to sustain a pregnancy.
