Hey ladies!

My husband and I have been married for 8 months now and we decided rather than trying to get pregnant we would just stop "preventing" it. Needless to say, I have been off of birth control since last November and I had not gotten my period. I then decided last month that I would try taking the remaining month of birth control pills that i had left. After taking 2 weeks and then stopping, I got a normal period again. I am just wondering if this is normal and will i be able to have a normal period again on my own? Is this a symptom to something else?
