relationship HELPPPP

So I've been talking to this guy for months now... I'm so in love with him and I know he is too our feelings are mutual for eachother and I've met his parents he's met mine and everything is great!!!! He calls me his girlfriend to his family and everything but the thing is he hasn't asked me out & we have talked about it and he said he would do it but he just hasn't and idk if it's just me but when a guy asks you out that's how you know it's some real shit bcs guys now a days don't ask you out!!!! They just assume you're together. Idk if I should keep waiting for him to ask me but idk what to do I want him to ask me bcs we do everything a couple does and it's gone far between us but I don't wanna push and mention it again. PLS HELP I NEED YALL OPINIONS
