During the recent election in the UK the Tory manifesto proposed cutting free school lunches for all children and instead only providing free school lunches to poor children and using the money saved to give free breakfas to poor children as well. I though this was a great idea and in true spirit of the purpose of free schoo meals in the first place (which was to feed children who might otherwise go hungry) but of course a lot of the lower middle class mummies in facebook were up in arms about the prospect of having to make their kids' lunch themselves or paying for it. What are your thoughts?
