best thing for bum rash?

My baby has been awesome and not had diaper rash hardly at all but the last couple weeks I can't seem to get it to heal up. When I last bought wipes our store only had pampers wipes and I usually use huggies so I bought them and I think thats possibly what caused it but I've already switched back to huggies. I've tried liveclean diaper cream, sudocream, and penatin. Any maybe home rememdies I could try. (I'm in Canada so a lot of the popular creams I see on here, I can't find)

I'm a big fan of Calmoseptine with aquaphor on top if it's really bad... I find it in the adult diaper aisle in the US

Two things besides some good diaper cream (I like butt paste). Maybe switch to just water for a while, with a soft cloth or a cotton pad instead of wipes. Then lots of time without the diaper to air dry and get aired out.

If those don't work, it could be a food allergy or a yeast rash. So you may want to go back and check what your lo has been eating and see if there is anything new, or call the pediatrician to get a prescription.

I'm in Canada too. LO had horrible diaper rash early on. I used Desitin diaper cream consistently, Canesten (yeast cream) thin coat twice daily, diaper free time, and started making my own wipes. This was after trying everything, and every cream combo, under the sun. Honestly, I think the homemade wipes were the key - they cleaned better plus were soothing and non-irritating (just water, witch hazel, coconut oil). LO's bum still gets red if I use regular wipes.

Bath and naked hour on a towel to let the area air out and dry up, then talc and nappy. I do this whenever my sons bum gets pink and looks like it's going to be sore, so far we've managed to avoid it getting past the pink stage.

I second Monica's wet cloth instead of wipes suggestion. I did did this when my son had diarrhea and got a rash. This did the trick I also used coconut oil instead of cream and let it air dry before putting the diaper. Good luck

We use Desatin & Magic Butt Cream....Maybe look up the ingredients and see if anything you can get has the same ingredients?
