How important is having a flower girl at the wedding?

Kalina • Baby #1 Due June 2020!
My fiancé and I have been planning our wedding and we are stuck on the flower girl problem. The problem is we don't have any kids that we know or close family with girls under 10ish that could be a flower girl. The only person we know well enough is my 6 year old sister but my fiancé and I both know that we definitely do not want her to be our flower girl. She would say something inappropriate and make the wedding all about her, and most likely mess it up in some way. I know that sounds awful but if you knew her you would agree. For those of you who may be like, "awww give her a chance!" The answer is no. Absolutely not.
So onto the main question: since we don't know anybody else who fits into the category, can we just not have one? I'd rather not have one than have someone I don't know at all.
