sac, but no baby?

I recently got pregnant but there was a sac, but no baby. I miscarried as well. What does this really mean? What went wrong? I'm so confused :(

I'm sorry this happened to you. It was hard for me bc it's also considered a loss. Baby dust to you in the future.

This Happen to me..  A empty sac.. No heartbeat.. And the doc never gave me a reason.. Sorry for your lost

Happened to me in March, I was 12 weeks my HCG kept doubling but my dad stayed emptied. I had to have a d&c and every since then I cannot seem to get pregnant I use ovulation strips cassanovum and vitex.

Its called a blighted ovum. Google it for explanation. I had 3 of them in a row over 2 yr span before having my baby.
