when did you tell people?

I'm 6 weeks and want to just tell everyone I had an ultrasound and everything is developing normal. Levels are rising every day I'm over 5000. I just want to tell everyone is that bad I was going to wait till my birthday the first week in aug but I want to tell everyone now.

I told everyone like immediately.. we wanted to wait but there was no way that was gonna happen and everyone I told I would want to comfort me if something bad did happen anyways. I'm ten weeks now and love that I told people when I did

I went for my first ultrasound this week (I'm 11 weeks), I told my close friends and family by 5 weeks..... I would have told them if something happened, so I didn't feel the need to wait. I am holding off on social media for a bit longer.

I only told close family until I hit the 12 week mark and didn't put it on social media until I hit 20 weeks :)

I was 5 weeks when I told all my family and close friends. And I told the world at 12 weeks. Unfornately at 13 weeks i found out she had trisomy 18, which is incompatible with life and doctors made me terminate my pregnancy. I thought I was passed the risk of miscarriage and nothing bad would happen but it did. I don't retreat telling the people I did because I had a lot of support for what I went through. Made me realize there really isnt a "safe" zone. Whatever will happen will.

I told my mom right away because I had a miscarriage last time and really wanted the support. I told 2 of my closest friends at 6 weeks, and plan to tell everyone else around 11 weeks because I will be visiting then and live in another state. I have my first appointment at 9 weeks so if all is well after that I am not too worried about telling everyone at 11 weeks. I would say tell your mom or closest friends and hold off on everyone else! Also my number was 74,000 at 6 weeks 2 days, so I want to make sure all is well via ultrasound before I spread the news.

We told immediate family right away because it was Father's Day weekend, but waiting till end of July to "spread the word"!

I miscarried May 2 and honestly having to tell my parents I WAS pregnant and lost my baby was hell. My husband was phenomenal by my side but I seriously wanted my mom there, too. (I'm close to my family). I am now 4w4d and I told my parents the Day I took my test. For better or for worse I need a support system because last time really tore me apart. I also told my closest friends. I'm not going to announce to everyone else til 12 weeks because that's when we go in for inservice before school begins so I feel as if this has been a blessing and I have my first trimester off work at home to drink as much water as I can with the luxury of peeing whever lol.

I am pregnant for the second time. The first time ended in a miscarriage. This is certainly not to scare you, I just have a different perspective now that I have been through the worst case scenario. We told some very very close friends right away then immediate family around week 7 after our ultrasound. Some of our family ended up telling other people even though we asked them not to (they were not trying to they were just so excited for us). Then we told extended family at week 10 and said it was ok to share. We ended up having a miscarriage week 12. Having the support was nice but I ended up having to make a Facebook announcement because I did not want to run into people on the street and have to explain that I was no longer pegenant. I would rather that have been kept between my close friends and family. I still don't know what to do this time, I feel torn, but we are pretty sure we are going to wait to tell everyone after the first trimester except for very close friends.

I truly hope you have a happy and healthy pregnancy and baby. Ultimately it is totally up to you and there are certainly pros and cons to both options.

My last one ended in miscarriage. Only my best friend and my family knew about the pregnancy. It was still so lonely. This time we are telling everyone after the first ultrasound. I don't see a reason to wait until 12 weeks or after. In reality, there is a chance up until birth of pregnancy loss. So why wait. That's my opinion at least
