And not necessarily in a bad way, but to give you pointers? This literally just happened to me, after being sexually active for 8 years, and now I just feel insecure. I don't even want to have sex now. It was about riding.

I think it's important to share what works and what doesn't. That's how you make sure each other feel good

Critique isn't the word I would use but we definitely tell each other what we like and don't like! Sometimes he'll move my head a little if I'm going down on him and he wants it in a certain spot or he'll ask me to switch the position but continue doing what I'm doing, stuff like that. Never "critiquing" though. I do that enough for myself I don't need that from him too 😂

I think it will take a while for you to get comfortable but I would say try again. And say. This how you like it!!!   And ride his socks off his feet.  During the course of years things could change with how people enjoy sex. You'll be okay. Try again when you're ready.

My bf has never critiqued me before... I've asked before "what's your favorite thing that just happened" or told him "oh my god I loved this (explained what I loved)" 
But I would never say anything negative to my bf, and he's never done so with me. 
A previous SO of mine did once though... and it made me nervous and insecure. And then I realized that he might think that... but that didn't mean other guys did. So I dumped him and eventually found my now amazing bf! 😂😅
