Absolutely! I met my fiancé when I was 5 and had a crush on him then but he ended up moving away until 10th grade. I ended up having classes with him and fell for him again. After a year of constantly flirting with each other we started dating but I broke up with him after 3 months because I had just been in a relationship were I was cheated on and treated like shit so him being so incredible to me somehow scared me. We didn't talk at all for six months and both dated other people until I wished him happy birthday over Facebook and after that we got together again and have been together almost 3 years now since then.

I kind of do... but I think we can mess things up. So I'm not a total believer. 
My husband and I met at 15 and 17. Discovered in talking later that we both liked the other (I have always said love at first sight for how I felt. It's always been the reason I believe in that). But he had been rejected a lot and never asked me out. I'd never dated and was too unsure to ask him out. So nothing happened. We were kind of in touch for the next couple years. I got married right out of high school. We lost touch. Met again years later when I was pregnant with baby #3 and became very close friends from there. My first marriage was a disaster. He was unfaithful repeatedly, verbally emotionally and sexually abusive. Finally I got out. I had spent years shoving down feelings for this man but knew I didn't want to waste my second chance. I was going to declare my feelings when my divorce was final. Then I accidentally told him I was in love with him in Hindi (long story) and a bit later we were dating. 1.5 years later married, 10 months after that had our baby girl. 
And he's amazing. Truly amazing. It's better than I had imagined. It's just right.

Yes and no. I don't think you are "meant" to be with a person in particular, but I do believe it can feel that way. Also your relationship won't just magically work out... relationships are work, but it shouldn't always feel like work. Meaning you can't be careless. You have to make an effort to be thoughtful, considerate etc. you can't expect to be completely selfish and then just say well if it was meant to be this would work out.
