Or you could take the egg, crack it, the crack is the vagina, and the egg that comes out is the blood. Much simpler.

It's normal, think about it this way:
Your uterus is a egg (whatever animal that lays eggs) and once a month the stuff inside comes out. Inside the yolk the fetus grows, (actual egg), and it gets rid of the outside first, like cracking an egg. When you crack an egg and the yolk and white come out, it's usually the white that hits the surface first. Hope it wasn't too confusing!!!
