tips for hip pain?

I'm a first time mom. 22 weeks with twins and I have bad hip/ tail bone pain on and off. A Few days it will be bad, then it goes away for awhile. My doctor thinks all is normal. Anyone have any tips? I just got a belly support belt to try.

I hate to say it but I think it just comes with the territory. This is my 4th pregnancy and I'm expecting twins. My hips kill me! If I sleep with a pillow between my knees it help but I'm a side sleeper and if a lay on my back(I know your not supposed to) just for a few minutes it really lets up on the hip pain.

Im 18+5 and also suffer from the same pain with expecting twins. I have noticed the last week since my babies have moved up alittle the pain hasn't been as intense. Hopefully as your little ones move you can find some relief too. I've read this is pretty common with twins so looks like we are just blessed! 😉 good luck with rest of pregnancy!

I do yoga once a week and do water aerobics 2-3 a week. The weightlessness and gentle movement in the pool helps me a lot. I'm 24+5 now and feeling better than I did around 18-19 weeks because I added yoga and water exercise. The back and hip pain is still there - it's not going away completely but it's much improved.

Take hot baths, switch sides often. Apply a hot towel here and there. Prop a pillow behind your butt to prevent your body from shifting into a discomfort while sleep. Your hip will still hurt but not as much or bad.

I suffer from juvenile arthritis in one hip. Pregnancy was very uncomfy as I carried low. I found if I was laying on my back a pillow under one hip (bad one) and partly my back helped, then sides one at my back and between my legs. Often lying on the bad leg is comfier too. Another thing is stretches, if you google stretches for you hip, knees and lower back and even ankles and neck will help tonnes to relax your naycles. And finally finish with a hot water bottle, wrapped so not too hot for baba, on the hip/stomach helped me millions 💜
