Am she overreacting or is she right?

So my boyfriend and I are a long distance relationship because he plays professional baseball, I'm currently going 4 weeks without seeing him and I would really like some alone time with him but his mom wants to come up around the same time but says she refuses to come if we ask her to stay in a hotel..... He lives in a 1 bedroom apartment with 1 bathroom..... He has a pull out couch but I still think it's odd that she even wants to stay with us in the first place. She's saying we're basically kicking her out to have sex, which we are and aren't.... Is she overreacting or am I for asking her to stay in a hotel?
