Help - underwear solution for post delivery?

I just started packing my bag and was about to put underwear in when I stopped to think - are any of these really going to be useful/ comfortable?! I have a few full underwear (I mostly own things), but even they are pretty tight/thin and might not feel very nice esp with a big pad in them.  What are you ladies doing? Should i just get depends, or are there more comfortable regular underwear I should be ordering from Amazon or something?

I bought a pack of Hanes underwear- put a pair on when I was dressing to leave the hospital. I wore these ugly granny panties for the first month so I didn't have to worry about ruining anything I like

Adult depends. Those first few days they saved me from so much of a mess. About 5-7 days later I switched to pads and panties. But the depends are so much more comfy than the mesh and massive pads to sit on. They also have the band around the waist to help support your skin after birth.

The hospital gave mesh boy short style and they were amazing, I took several home. I ended with a c section and went back to my regular low rise undies after the mesh because the higher waist would roll down at night and hit the incision.

Honestly, buying Depends was the BEST thing I ever did! I wore the mesh hospital things until the day I was discharged and then I went straight to the Depends! I had to have a CSection and the Depends go high enough that my incision is covered and not bothered.. they are comfortable and you are worry free😊

Get some good old fashioned white briefs. I know its not sexy at all, but who really cares at that point. With white you can bleach them as long as you need to get the stains out and throw away when you don't need them anymore. No point in buying something fancy since you don't know how long you will bleed postpartum. I did for 2 months after both my kids.

I bought maternity underwear before birth from a maternity store. They are big and have plenty of space for those giant pads you wear.
