Interview for 1st "Grown Up" Job this Week... Tips?

Callie • 👶🎀 8.18.18. 👶🎀 3.16.20.

Last week I applied to a Recreation Therapist position at an inpatient behavioral health facility. I finished my Bachelor's degree in Recreational Therapy last August, passed my certification exam in March, and this is the first job I've applied for since graduating college. I was thrilled to be called in for an interview! Mental health is my passion and considering that I have significant volunteer experience in the community mental health setting, and internship experience in inpatient psych, I think I would be a good fit!

However, I have a couple concerns I'm wondering whether or not to be upfront about, because if I mention them, I'm worried I won't get the job! More specifically:

1. We recently started round one of Femara. Should I mention TTC since it's likely I'll have appointments once or twice a month?

2. In the past, I too struggled with mental health issues, and thus can see things from both the perspective of the patient and of the professional, which I view as a strength, but IDK if they would... should I mention it?

3. Lastly, my husband is in the military, which means that if he changes stations, I would have to quit... should I admit to being a military wife?

Also if you have any other interview tips/advice, that would be much appreciated as well! Thanks!
