Ever had 'sizing' issues?

So me and my new bf tried to have sex the other day and he gets behind me and just kinda goes 'yeah this shit ain't happening, imma tear my banjo if I try'. Said it was a mixture of me being too small and him being too thick but now idk what to do.

Advice in the comments would be great!
