My SO said he only want two kids including the one he has. I told him that's not fair to me since that's not my child and he doesn't/won't ever live with us anyway. He said his child still counts...but it doesn't to me, I don't have any kids yet.

I believe that agreeing on how many children you want up front is important. My husband and I agreed on this subject before we were engaged. I feel like if you are not on the same page one of you will end up resenting the other.
