Does anyone else have Sickle Cell Anemia?

Sickle-cell disease occurs when a person inherits two abnormal copies of the haemoglobin gene, one from each parent.[3] This gene occurs in chromosome 11.[9] Several subtypes exist, depending on the exact mutation in each haemoglobin gene.[2] An attack can be set off by temperature changes, stress, dehydration, and high altitude.[1]

I have SCA. I was diagnosed at six months old I'm now 31.

I have the trait and I still have problems and even more now that I am pregneat

I know people that have it but I only know one person who is reallllly affected by it. She has to take painkillers daily and can't deal with going from one extreme temperature to another without being in serious pain.
