Possible colic?
My husband and I are wondering if our baby has colic or just is how a 1 month old baby acts. He pretty much wants to be held all day or worn in my Moby wrap. If you put him down for a second, in a swing, in his rock and play or on his play mat, he screams. He won't stop screaming until he tires himself out or we pick him up. (I don't ever let him cry it out/tire himself out, I just know this because one time I was in the shower and couldn't get to him right away). He will have just eaten, diaper changed and I will put him down and he will scream and cry. He also will not sleep for more than 30 min-1 hour stretches in his bassinet. I have now been having him sleep with me and he will sleep 2-5 hour stretches this way, but I don't want to make a habit of co-sleeping even though I am safe about it.
He did have some digestion issues I could tell, so I have cut dairy from my diet since I know that's one thing I eat a lot of. Today I had no dairy and he had no digestion issues. He is exclusively breastfed.
I don't mind holding him all day if I have to, but is this normal behavior? I am going to ask his pedetrician after the holiday. Does anyone else go through this? Any tips?
