Vagina pimple???

So I've noticed that all the time, like clockwork, when I get my period I've started to get like a single pimple like thing around my vulva area.

It only started about a year ago and it wasn't problematic because I wasn't sexually active. BUTTT I plan on changing that soon. Me and my SO have been talking about it and I wanted to know if this is a common problem??? And some tips on how to get rid of it (sooner rather than later would be appreciated cuz ya girl wants dick)?
