So my consultant has prescribed me 100mg clomid to take since i have pcos, has anyone ever been prescribed this dosage on first round?? And why days 2-6??

I was prescribed letrozole.. it's apparently better then clomid. I assume this is the initial dosage they want you to take and they do it for 3 cycles. Days 2-6 helps block the estrogen it sends a signal to your brain that helps with your body to produce estrogen.

I did 2-6 and conceived first round, only did 50mg but it will just depend on doctors

I got pregnant my first round of 100 mg of chlomid. Did two with 50mg and nothing. It's just a higher dosage to try to get you to ovulate.
