Lets get it started!!!!
I'm 39 weeks and I saw my midwife today! Not my normal midwife but I'm glad I saw Dr. Danielle shes very much on my side about getting baby boy OUT!!
As soon as she saw me and started reading my file she said "why are you still pregnant?" Which are my sentiments down to the letter. Immediately she asked if I want to have my membranes swept , HELL YES!! I jumped at the suggestion because I wanted it anyway.
Once I assume the position she checks me and says I'm a goooooooodddddd 3cm and I'm estatic at the update. Then she proceeds with the lovely sweeping which she forewarned about being painful. I wouldn't say it hurt, I'd compare it to sex with a VERY well endowed partner that so happens to like the circle hip motion during sex... Or a transvaginal unltrasound whichever is easier to relate to. Either way just find a focal point on the celling, breath and count it out.
If you're ready for labor pains you can suck it up to get the sweep.
Anywho, she said my bag of waters is buldging and she had to be careful not to pop them (not like I would have mided if she did) which all seems good to me!!! The count down has almost come to an end.
Now my question is, how to I assist in moving forward with labor so that I can be on the yes side of the 50/50 chance!?!?!!
