I'm on the pill and I've been cramping

So it's been two weeks since taking the pill I started when my period started so it's been two weeks since then. Last night me and my boyfriend did have sex and he did ejaculate inside of me and I took my pill before I went to bed like always. So this morning I have been getting these weird cramps and now I'm worried was the pill effective?
