Do I wait or not?

We've been off of the pill for about 8 months but really I started TTC a few months ago, you know, really paying attention. The other day my SO finally says we should have a baby this year. I'm stuck between going all out now or waiting a but until Sept or so. Then my seasonal job (Renaissance Festival starts in August) and summer fun (drinking...) won't be affected. He's gonna be 37, I'm 30.
