I normally feel less awkward in the back.  I even let my own dad sit upfront. They have need more leg room and i don't talk as much so its easier for them to conversate. Sometimes we would take turns it just depends

Depends your age and hownlong youve been dating. Id say if u 24+ and been dating at least a year its ok if they offer and u accept. Anything younger or less id say take the backseat as a signal of respect.
