15m delayed??

Question

My little guy is 15 months and he doesn't walk nor talk. He babbles, but he doesn't say any words. Only mama if he's mad or upset that I won't pick him up.
Is this normal? I know I'm not supposed to compare, but I'm getting worried. Hes also pretty miserable in my opinion, and all he does is whine!

Some babies don't walk until they're 18 months and some don't talk until they're closer to two. I wouldn't worry but I would ask your pediatrician just for some peace of mind ;)

Im pretty sure he should be walking by now but than again my sister didn't walk until like 16 months because of laziness lol and saying I think 5 to 10 words I would really bring it up to your doctor

It is considered normal for him to not be walking. Most kids are by 15 months probably but 18 months is usually the time where doctors will start to get concerned. My daughter is almost 16 months and will take multiple steps by herself but still isn't full on walking. She prefers to crawl but we're getting there. It's so hard not to compare our kids with others. I'm not sure about the talking thing though. Does he try to say any words at all? Does he do anything else that shows progressive mental development?

My little guy finally started walking at about 15 months!  I just stuck with the idea that he'll do it when he's ready. He would hold onto things and walk but it took forever for him to get the courage to let go and take some steps. He's 16 months now and walking all over the place!!  And he doesn't talk a ton. He babbles a lot in his own little language. He will say mama and dada...mostly when we say it to him. I've been saying words to him like ball and car to try and get him to copy me. Don't worry too much!  If you're really concerned, you could always talk to your ped about it. 😊
