Who has an IUD?

Question

Do any of you have an IUD? Does the procedure hurt the whole time? Is the pain extreme? What's sex like? I'm getting this so I have a lot of questions.

Not gonna lie, sounding and insertion HURT. I had a Mirena placed just after my period stopped, so I don't know if it would have been less painful if I was still on my period. The ol' uterus is also tilted, so that may have increased the pain I experienced.
That said, it was less than two minutes of hurt, and soooooo worth it.
It's been just over two months, and things are normalizing. Bleeding has mostly stopped and cramping is going away.

I have the Liletta. (Hormonal) felt like a pinch going in, and it didn't hurt the whole time. Sex wasn't affected at all.

It hurts going in , like a big pinch , cramps for about a day, but Tylenol covers it. Then it goes away.  Sex is all the same. Periods can go away completely.

With paraguard I couldn't enjoy sex.. I'm being honest with you. I had to get it taken out and immediately after I felt MUCH better. Also with copper in your holy region it makes you smell kinda weird.. like metallic fish.. and I eat a raw vegan diet so I KNOW i don't smell bad! Only with paraguard... if your partner is less than average sized though.. I'm pretty sure having an IUD won't really affect your sex life. If he is well-endowed.. IT HURTS!
