Would u forgive infidelity?

Question

2 years go my bf cheated on me, it was awful and I really suffered. We broke up for 3 months but he begged me so much that I decided to forgive & forget. He was very inmature back then but he never ever cheated on me again! He learned the lesson and he earned my trust again. But, I wouldn't forgive him if he cheats on me again

I really believe that if you love someone then you could never disrespect and hurt them like that. I also believe a decent and honest person would never cheat and would leave their relationship if they felt such strong desires to cheat. I've been LDR for over 3yrs- even when my boyfriend isn't around, which is 95% of the time, I never even consider cheating, and neither does he. The idea of hurting someone I love so deeply and intentionally makes me physically sick. And I know my boyfriend feels similarly about hurting me. Any really strong, long term, healthy and loving relationship I've ever emulated has been the same way. So nope, if my SO ever cheated I'd be gone. I value myself too much to stay in a relationship with someone who doesn't truly love me and isn't at the very least a decent human being.

I think it really depends on what kind of cheating/who the person was/ how long/emotions behind it.

Definitely forgive. Because if you don't forgive, you'll just carry that burden around with you and it'll be hard to get rid of. But get back together? Not so much.
