How'd you tell your fam?

Question

Well. I told my mom last night. She proceeded to cry and fight with my husband for an hour how we shouldn't have had more kids... (we each have one from other relationship) greattt to add to my stress.

I am so sorry for how your mom reacted to such wonderful news. Both my parents have passed but we told my husband's dad and stepmom on Father's Day. They were both happy we will be giving them another grandchild. We each have a daughter from our first marriages and had only been married 3 weeks when we found out, so I was really nervous telling anyone just yet. I have told my sister who is 33 weeks pregnant with her 4th child and my brother who were both very happy.  I haven't told my other brother because his wife will go crazy. She literally asked me to abort my daughter (turning 12 next month).  Needless to say they'll find out when someone other than myself tells them. I have no room for the negativity in mine or my children's life. And you shouldn't have to have it in yours.
