behind on milestones?

My baby will be 8 months in a few days and still can't crawl, pull to stand, sit up from laying down, or take steps when we're holding her hands. I see all these babies her age doing that stuff so just wondering if it's normal that she can't.

My daughter sits really well and has great fine motor skills but still refuses to roll - she doesn't do any of the things you mentioned either. Not worried - it'll happen when it happens.

This is perfectly normal.  The average age babies crawl is 9 months. Most crawl between 7-10 months. Some begin as early as 5 months and some as late as 12 months. Some skip it completely and go straight to walking.  The average age babies pull them selves up is between 9 and 12 months. Some will do it earlier of course but I wouldn't worry about that. Your baby is not behind or a "late bloomer" like someone previously said!  It will happen when baby is ready!

My son is 8 months in two days and still can't do any of that. He can get up on his hands and knees and rock back and forth which he just started last week. I do t compare him to any other baby, his time will come :)

8 months and we can't crawl stand or pull up. We work on it 3-4 times a day and I'm a stay at home mom. He just refuses. He won't even put weight on his legs. We're far behind too. Don't worry. We all end up walking talking and eating by our selves.

Do you do that kinda stuff with her a lot? My baby seems to master skills so suddenly & only after I help him a few times & encourage him through play. Also if she's on a heavier side it will take a little longer, probably just a late bloomer 🌺

Same here! I am not worried, she will when she is ready. Every baby is different and mine doesn't do any of those things you mentioned. She sits up and rolls everywhere and that seems to satisfy her.

I have a 7month old, and a 3 year old. My 3 year old didn't crawl until she was 11 months, and didn't independently walk until 17 months! Ha. So 2nd time around, I'm not even thinking of milestones. Honestly, do not worry. Your baby will do things on their own time xxx

Mine was just sitting and rolling everywhere. But within the past two weeks she started to pull to stand, take steps when holding her and just yesterday started crawling (army style). Some babies take a little longer to do stuff but once they start everything clicks and they start doing it all at the same time. Your baby is still young and well within the time frame of learning to do those things. As for getting into sitting position from laying down, most babies don't learn that for a few more months. I've seen some super babies on here so it's hard not to compare but know that's not the norm.
