Yesterday, after work I was heading home and a girl was driving like a dick swerving to cut me off every chance she got so I tried to get away from her and she ended up cutting me off again on the exit which ends in a stoplight. Well she pulled up probably 10 feet past the white line and was under the actual light, it's a turn right when clear (or green). Well when it was still red she went and then slammed on her brakes and I moved up because I thought she was going and so I was pretty close. Well the light was green and no cars were coming and she did it again, went and then slammed on the brakes again, and I bumped her because I wasn't expecting her to stop at a green like that. She called the cops, said I plowed into her and that she needs a new bumper. Her sister is a cop so she thought she had the right to tell him to issue me a ticket. The ONLY damage was a half-inch long white scratch on her bumper, the cops told us, since there is basically no damage he wouldn't be issuing a ticket for a bump but we have to take our cars to a collision center today. She is trying really hard to say there is more damage than there is. Also, my car is red, and so is hers, and she had purple and black scratches on her bumper trying to blames those on me too. I'm afraid she's going to lie and claim on my insurance to get money and not actually fix her car. She was a snooty entitled brat, insisting I get a ticket and that there was major damage. So if there was no ticket issued am I responsible for her "repairs" ? Even though it was partially her fault? I'm fine with fixing the scratch, but she's insisting she needs a new bumper and I will NOT pay for that.
