Pcos and 20. Any advice ? What should I do?

Metformin. Start as soon as you can and don't use birth control they make you infertile from what I was told best thing is metformin

Birth control actually helped me ovulate. PCOS is just one glove fits all. I would speak to your doctor and come up with a plan. I talked to mine and was diagnosed with it Feb of 2015. I never had a period which made me infertile and I was over weight. Where I know girls that are fertile can get pregnant but have excessive hair and cyst something I didn't experience. My doctor helped me with a new diet plan I educated myself on the type of diet someone with PCOS should have, worked out and lost 50lbs by July of 2015. Birth control helped me get a period but obviously prevented pregnancy. When I was about to get ready to start TTC I got off of BC ending June by August I had became pregnant completely on my own with no help (doctor was going to put me on meds). The weight lost help my body naturally ovulate I am now pregnant a second because I've maintained the same healthy lifestyle. So no birth control will not make you infertile. The birth control help regulate my hormones, I had periods and regulating my hormones help me lose the weight as well as eating healthy and working out. I suggest really speaking to an educated Doctor about PCOS it'll do you so much good.
