Do you need both?

Question. I posted asking what mom's cant live without. Everyone said rock n play sleeper and/or swing. Do i need both? Or since they both rock shoukd I just pick one?

The swing was amazing through her first two months and then we sorta stopped using it because the batteries kept dying. Totally agree that your baby may not like what other babies love!

My son is 2 months and we use the swing, auto rock n play, and the bouncer on a daily basis. The only thing we don't use daily is the mamaroo because I kind of forget about it and he loses patience the fastest when he is in that one.

I don't think they compare. My baby hated any swing, but loved sleeping in the rock n play, so totally different uses in my opinion.

We only used a swing. We tried the mamaroo and baby didn't love it (only liked it as a newborn) but loved her swing! She liked t so much we bought a second one for the upper level of our house.

Same, son hated the swing but loved the bouncer. You just never know what a baby will prefer.

I'd say put everything on your registry, but only buy one personally of none are gifted to you. I don't see the point in getting several things that do the same thing when the baby will most likely hate one or all of them. I was gifted a swing from a friend & my son used it for maybe 2 weeks. We sent it to habitat bc it just took up space & my friend didn't want it back for the same reason. The bouncer we were gifted lasted months, though.
