African Black Soap... with tar?

Hi. I've heard some good stuff about African Black Soap, but when I looked it up, I saw that it uses tar. Wouldn't that make it carcinogenic? Any info would be appreciated.

It's good you just have to get quality stuff. Look at the ingredients, hand made is best. Any quality stuff will have coconut oil, shea butter, and usually other plants like cocoa pods, she's tree bark and palm tree leaves. I've never heard of it having tar except maybe fake stuff? 
For the body, you can use it as much as you want. For your face, wash with the black soap maybe 3 times a week or you can irritate/dry out your skin. 
Honestly I love this stuff! Really helped with my body acne which I don't have anymore. It makes my face glow!

True African Black Soap won't have tar in it. There are a couple brands where its fake and has some shady ingredients (I even saw one that burned someone's skin), so just buy from a reputable source and it should be ok
