Would you leave your husband if he wants to choose him over your family??

If my family is actively causing problems and being unnecessarily cruel to my husband then I will chose him. If we're married he is my first priority and if my family cannot accept him then we'll sucks for them. 
My dad's family have been horrible to my mother over the years for absolutely no reason. They don't like her because she's Catholic, she came from slightly more money than them and just because they're not very nice people. They're even nasty about her family. Eventually they crossed a line and verbally attacked one of my brothers. Things got nasty and when my mum tried to fix things they just made horrible comments about her, her parenting, her faith and her family. It was horrible. My dad chose my mum. She didn't really ask him too, but that is one of the two fights I've ever seen in my 24yrs of life. My parents have a stronger marriage than most and part of that is because my dad chose my mum and their kids over his nasty mother (who also turned his siblings and dad against us). If I am ever placed in the same position I will expect the same from my husband and I will extend him the same respect. When you marry you leave your family and start a new one. Your priority is to your wife and kids not your parents.

No one should ask you to choose between them and your family. I've read a few comments where people's parents have chosen one another over toxic families, which is understandable. I just feel like it's different if he's asking you to leave your family for no good reason.

My husband is a priority. He is literally my best friend and I would pick him over everyone.

In most situations I choose my husband over my family simply because my family's got a messed up way of doing things and their opinions on how I should live my life.
