Which cereal is recommended to start first?

When baby is 5-6 months old.

Liam is only 3 months old, and his pedi said we would talk about cereal at his 4 month visit.

I myself, doubt he'll be ready bc he still only takes 4oz or less for a feeding.

When my oldest son was a baby (13 yrs ago) it wasn't abnormal to start babies on cereal at 3 months. That has changed since then!

Has the type of cereal changed too? I think he started with rice or multi grain oatmeal. I can't remember.

what is advised now? Rice? Oatmeal? Something else?

When did you start giving your babe some cereal?

Liam has silent reflux, and is on zantac 2x a day. which helps a lot. (when we're not hitting a growth spurt and need a dose adjustment)
