What's one thing that surprised you about having a baby?

I asked my husband and he said he was surprised at how much he loved her so quickly (I guess the instincts kicking in) ❤️
I was surprised how I was able to handle so much pain during birth. So worth it.

Everyone said my life would be over it it's "so hard" 
My life is AMAZING and I feel so complete !!

How easy it was! Like everyone kept saying how hard it was gonna be, but everything came so naturally to me! Getting him into a routine too.. I thought that would be extra hard but my baby is great, he goes to bed at 11 and wakes up at 8am every day :)

I'm surprised about how much poop can come out of a little person! Lol! I'm also amazed how one goofy smile from her makes me forget for a little while how tired I am or at least reminds me how lucky I am. What shocked me is how people crowd around you when you have a baby. I was never one to fawn over other peoples babies. Strangers will come over and try to touch her

I was surprised the first time someone asked me what my favorite part of being a mom was  lol. I genuinely didn't know how to respond, because I've wanted to be a mom more than anything in life for as long as I can remember and it took a couple years and a couple losses to make that happen.... I couldn't even pick out one thing because it's all just so amazing, everything about being a mother just feels right to me. I guess if I was asked again, I'd say my favorite part about being a mom is that I feel like I'm whole.

I feel like there's a lot of negativity, stress and anxiety associated with being a new mom so I went into it a bit terrified. I'm now 8 weeks postpartum and realize I had nothing to worry about. I think people make it way more stressful than it has to be. I love my life so much and don't find it to be nearly as exhausting or stressful as everyone makes it seem. It's important to relax and go with the flow!

I'm surprised she sleep so much. And I had no idea babies came out with so much white stuff on them. That's not in the movies lol

I was surprised about handling the pain as well. And crying a lot. Happy tears of course! Her first smile, her baptism, her cooing. They are amazing! And how much love you can have for someone! My husband said about how much she has changed him for the better. Including because of the labor part (I hemorrhaged and after see what I went through and how much love he has for our daughter he feels that he has been a better husband to me and how he enjoys us each day because of how he could have lost me) he also started to donate blood to since then as well.
