I can't stay in this endless circle of abuse.

My boyfriend has schizophrenia or is extremely bi polar. Either that or has multiple personalities. He hasn't been diagnosed and isn't on the right medication for it so it's getting out of control.

He's slowly getting help as in he has an appointment unless he missed it but how do I get him to really go, like to the physiatric ward to get diagnosed?

I don't think it's fair to blame him for the abuse and I've never seen him as abusive but I know it is. You can't blame someone with a mental disorder for doing something when they aren't actually there at the time right? Sometimes he doesn't remember what he's said or done the next day. I've tried extremely hard to make him get help because he's killing himself and hurting me.
