Infertility

Can having chlamydia for a long period of time stop you from having children in the future. A few years ago I was tested for STDs and it came back positive for chlamydia, I have no idea how long I had it. Could've been a week or two, could've been months. A while later my boyfriend and I were trying to conceive for months with no results. Can anyone tell me if there's something wrong with me? I don't have the money to see a fertility specialist.
