Conceiving after a miscarriage

Hi all

About three weeks ago my husband and I unfortunately suffered a miscarriage. I was 8 weeks exactly to the day and starting spotting two hours before my first OB appointment where we were supposed to see our little creation for the first time. I passed most naturally (very traumatic and I did end up in ER because it scared me) but did have to have a D&C; due to it approaching two weeks and some tissue was left. I'm due for AF on Friday but wanted to know some stories about conceiving after miscarriage and D&C.; I guess I can find comfort and feel more powerful with information.
